Draw The Line March – Sat Sept 20, 12 noon

On Saturday, September 20th, thousands across the country—and millions around the world—are uniting to draw the line for People. For Peace. For the Planet. March with us here in Victoria starting at 12 noon at the Legislature!

WE ARE MARCHING BECAUSE:

We refuse to stand by while our governments fuel climate collapse, gut our public services, attack migrants, violate Indigenous rights, and shrug off genocide in Palestine.

It´s clear we need to unite and fight back! Together we demand that the BC and  Canadian governments pick a side: injustice, violence, and climate destruction— or a just, safe, and prosperous future for all of us.

Let us know you’re going to be there at drawtheline.world!

March & Rally Schedule

We will start the program at noon in front of the BC Legislature. The march to Songhees Park via Government and Pandora Streets will start shortly after 12:30. The rally at Songhees Park will start at about 1:10 and the formal program will end at about 2pm.

Activities, including the Bakesale for Billionaires, music, and information tables, will continue after the formal program ends. (This is timed so people can also join the weekly march for Gaza at the Legislature, or meet the march on Government Street.)

Draw the Line is an opportunity for us to build a historic alliance to fight back, and form coalitions that can continue to build beyond September 20th.

Please spread the word on Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky or however you like. Download & print posters & leaflets here. Direct link to bright red poster here.

Organized by an ad hoc group, including youth, members of Common Horizon Victoria, 350 Canada, Seniors for Climate, and Climate Justice Victoria.

Our grassroots group organizes on Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ lands. We look to and work with the Indigenous communities leading the climate justice movement on the front lines for guidance and leadership.
